Jim has provided independent marketing counsel to healthcare companies for nearly 30 years, blending business, brand, and science and technology knowledge to help identify, conceptualize, and market new value.
Past and present clients include Philips Healthcare, GE Healthcare, CAE Healthcare (surgical simulation), Honeywell HomMed (telemedicine), PDI, Inc. (infection prevention and control), and the College of American Pathologists.
Areas of expertise and experience include market opportunity analysis, brand management, and communication strategy. He has a thorough working knowledge of current healthcare dynamics, including new payment models.
Jim is a former global director of brand strategy and communications at Philips Healthcare (resident in the Netherlands). As a member of the company’s senior management team, he provided leadership and counsel to the CEO, as well as business line and geographical market executives, on Philips brand-related matters. He also served on the Royal Philips Electronics Corporate Image Board.
Jim holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and BA in Physics from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, with continuing education at Northwestern's Kellogg School.
As the managing director of Palomar, Peter is responsible for all aspects of the firm's strategy and day-to-day operations.
Over the past 32 years, Peter has held executive leadership roles in the medical device and electronics Industries, most recently as president and CEO of Ameda, a medical device company. Prior to that, he was president and CEO of CAE Healthcare, a startup offering modeling and simulation products for healthcare. He successfully grew this firm from a seed funded initiative through startup and growth to a $91M firm, with 270 employees conducting operations in 120 countries. Peter also has held high level general management positions at Analogic Corporation and Philips Healthcare leading their Global Nuclear Medicine Imaging Business.
Peter has particular depth working with clients across the medical device industry, but draws upon a variety of cross-industry experiences. He has a long and successful record of business turnarounds by formulating and implementing new strategic plans to position the company for long-term success. Peter has the experience, insight and decisiveness to optimize revenues and profits.
Peter earned a MBA from the Boston University School of Management and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University.
